KUALA LUMPUR: The National Higher Education Corporation Fund (PTPTN) has praised the government's effort to assist PTPTN borrowers following the tabling of Budget 2023 yesterday.
It said in a statement that the initiatives indicate the government's concern towards the current challenging economic situation.
"PTPTN is grateful and committed to implementing the loan repayment discount incentive of up to 20 per cent for three months starting this March.
"PTPTN also welcomes the six-month loan moratorium for borrowers earning less than RM1,800 a month which also starts next month.
"These initiatives will ease the borrowers' financial burden and therefore, the implementation of the initiatives will be announced soon.
"As an agency under the Higher Education Ministry, PTPTN is always committed and ready to help borrowers in line with the Budget 2023 initiatives," it said.
