Scrambled address, Wee puzzled why egg importer's address is the same as Deepak's

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong has called on Deepak Jaikishan to explain his relationship with Jeena Giri, a director of egg importer J&E Advance Tech Sdn Bhd.

Wee said Twitter user @DenciShahrizal had shared screenshots of J&E Advanced Tech's Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM) registration document which revealed that Jeena shared an address with Jaikishan, who is CIP Group Sdn Bhd managing director.

The MCA president took to Facebook to share the images and raised questions about the possibility of Jeena misusing Jaikishan's address in the company's registration.

He called for a thorough investigation to clarify Jeena and Deepak's relationship and the reason for the shared address.

"Thank you @DenciShahrizal for sharing the information about how J&E Advanced Tech Sdn Bhd director Jeena Giri shares with Deepak Jaikishan," Wee wrote on Facebook.

"Is this merely a coincidence? What is the relationship of Deepak and Jeena?

"Or is Deepak's address being misused by Jeena?

"If that's the case, I strongly suggest Deepak to lodge a police report to investigate why Jeena has used Deepak's address in her registration of J&E Advanced Tech Sdn Bhd with the Companies Commission of Malaysia?", Wee added.

Wee and Deepak have been embroiled in a spat since the MCA president raised issue over eggs imported from India in Parliament.

This came after Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu said J&E Advance Tech was the only Malaysian company granted the award to import eggs from the country.

Wee had later urged the ministry to focus on addressing the poor supply of domestic eggs instead of importing eggs from India and other countries to address domestic needs.

Subsequently, Wee revealed in a Dewan Rakyat seating that he had received a threat following his statement on the import of eggs from India.

Wee said he had received a call from an individual named Deepak who claimed that the company, J&E Advance Tech, had discussed with the Prime Minister's Office for the case to be settled out of court.

The caller also told Wee to retract his statement on the issue.

In a statement later, Deepak denied ever contacting Wee, and claimed that he did not possess the latter's phone number.

He also said he would be contacting his lawyers to take legal action against Wee's "lies".
