Malaysian company empowers educators in Bogor via innovative digital platform

JAKARTA: Malaysia's tech company HeiTech Padu Bhd has launched a learning management system, called GuruPRO in Bogor, Indonesia to empower educators and enrich students via the interactive digital platform.

GuruPRO is the latest initiative by HeiTech in the country through its investee company PT Desa Tech Nusantara, after the launching of the school management system ProSchool early this year.

"We hope that GuruPRO will help to reduce any gaps that may exist in the education sector due to possible uneven distribution of edutech access in Indonesia," its group chief operating officer Salmi Nadia Mohd Hilmey said in a statement.

The new platform allows teachers to share their experiences, syllabus, and teaching methods with other educators to enhance their teaching practices, said Salmi Nadia, who is also a director of Desa Tech.

Its features, namely the Learning Management System, Digital Books, LapakGuru and Boot Camp are value added thanks to sharing of informative and interactive courses or materials.

She said GuruPRO also collaborated with 'Guru Merdeka Professional' organisation to uplift the status of teachers who have yet to meet the passing grade in becoming full-fledged professional teachers.

About 300 teachers from the Bogor district attended the launch of the new platform recently. --BERNAMA
