#MH122: Malaysia Airlines flight turned around due to 'emergency incident'

KUALA LUMPUR: A Malaysia Airlines flight enroute to Kuala Lumpur from Sydney has been turned around due to a mid-air 'emergency incident'.

According to Sydney-based 9news, Malaysia Airlines flight MH122 left Sydney at 1.40pm and landed back on the runway at 3.47pm.

The plane is now sitting on the end of the runway, surrounded by emergency vehicles.

According to the portal, Australian Federal Police (AFP) responded to an emergency incident at the Sydney International Airport.

9news reported that a tweet was found stating that a person was "threatening staff and passengers" onboard.
