Education Ministry, set to receive among the biggest allocations in 2024 Budget, to focus on improving infrastructure, policies

GENTING HIGHLANDS: The Education Ministry, which is set to receive among the biggest allocations in the 2024 Budget, will focus on developing and improving infrastructures.

Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek said the ministry would also be focusing on implementing policies that would give a considerable impact towards the country's overall education system development.

"We would be focusing on developing and improving infrastructures and what's most important is implementing policies that would give an impact towards the country's overall education system.

"The big allocation that would be provided is a responsibility for us to solve issues and focus on policies that would impact the country such as those related to the 2027 curriculum," she told reporters after launching the International Conference on Educational Leadership and Management at Institut Aminuddin Baki, here, today.

Yesterday, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwr Ibrahim said the education and health ministries would be among those which will receive the biggest allocations in next year's budget.

The 2024 Budget will be tabled in the Dewan Rakyat on Oct 13.

In the revised 2023 Budget, the ministry received RM55.2 billion.
