KUALA LUMPUR: Shell Malaysia, in collaboration with The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia recently launched a collection of remote-controlled cars that combine cutting-edge technology of Shell V-Power with the iconic charm of beloved Star Wars characters.
The world's first Star Wars Racers Collection is bound to excite fans and enthusiasts with the six limited edition collection of remote control cars.
The Star Wars characters featured in the collection include Darth Vader, Stormtrooper, Darth Maul, The Mandolorian, Boba Fett and BB-8.
"Shell V-Power enthusiasts are some of the most passionate people and we know timeless stories like Star Wars continue to resonate among fans of all ages.
"We knew we had to celebrate these passionate communities and we hope fans will have tons of fun collecting and racing with this new collection," said Shell Mobility Malaysia general manager Seow Lee Ming at the launch today.
Seow added that Shell Malaysia is the first to integrate Star Wars-themed racing car designs, not just on toy cars but also within the digital realm.
Players will have the opportunity to experience the cars through the Shell Racing-Mobile app, available on both the App Store and Google Play where customers can now immerse themselves in an electrifying racing experience.
The Star Wars Racers Collection by Shell retains all the unique attributes, such as Bluetooth control and the exclusive smart battery, that were part of the Shell Motorsport Collection introduced last year.
From Oct 6 - Nov 19, the exclusive limited edition remote control cars will be unveiled one model at a time, on a weekly basis, exclusively at Shell Stations across the country.
Individual car models, excluding the Darth Vader Racer, can be acquired for RM49.90 with a single receipt purchase of a minimum of RM50 in Shell FuelSave 95, Shell V-Power 97, or Shell V-Power Racing fuel.
The smart bluetooth battery is available at RM30 with the same minimum fuel purchase as the car models.
Meanwhile, the Darth Vader Racer is complimentary with every Shell Helix Ultra purchase at Shell stations.
Fans and customers can also grab the Collector Casing at RM89.90 when they pump RM80 Shell V-Power Racing in a single receipt to complete the collection.
When asked about the idea for the collaboration, Seow said that both Shell V-Power and The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia shared something in common, which is a passion for innovation.
"This collection reflects our understanding of local fans, passion for innovation and pushing boundaries to deliver an unbeatable experience for customers of all ages.
"We worked with Disney to pick out the most fan-favourite characters, it was an interesting 18-month journey for this year's collection."
