Bentong cops seek public help to find missing nonagenarian

BENTONG: Police are seeking the public's help in locating a 91-year-old man who went missing from his house at Taman Muhibah here last week.

The man, identified as R. Mailvagnam, was last seen by a relative around noon on Oct 2 (Monday).

District police chief Superintendent Zaiham Mohd Kahar said the victim's daughter lodged a police report about 10.30pm on Oct 4 claiming her father has been missing since Oct 2

"The missing man was last seen by a relative who used to regularly fetch him to buy household items including food. On Oct 2, the relative took Mailvagnam to buy groceries and some meals before sending him home around noon.

"The victim's daughter could not locate him or contact his handphone on Oct 4. The family members and relatives searched the area before they lodged a police report the same day," he said.

Zaiham called on the public not to speculate on the matter and urged anyone with information on the incident to contact the Bentong police headquarters at 09-2222222, or go to the nearest police station.
