Yayasan Pahang takes home three awards

KUALA LUMPUR: Yayasan Pahang received three prestigious awards at the Life At Work Awards (LAWA) 2023 event organised by TalentCorp on Wednesday.

The award ceremony held at M Resort & Hotel Kuala Lumpur witnessed Yayasan Pahang receiving three awards namely Best Organisation: Public Sector — Champion; Chief Human Resource Officer Champion: Public Sector won by Datin Nor Aza Abd Aziz; and Promising Young HR: Public Sector won by Isyraq Akram Nasir.

At the event, Yayasan Pahang chief executive officer Datuk Mahmud Mohd Nawawi received the Best Public Sector award that was presented by Human Resources Minister V. Sivakumar.

Yayasan Pahang in a statement also extended its appreciation to Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail for his unwavering support, guidance and ideas that contributed to the organisation's success.

"The Yayasan Pahang team also expresses gratitude to all our dedicated employees who have significantly contributed to the organisation's achievements and to the betterment of society.

"Since its establishment in 1982, Yayasan Pahang, a state-owned agency, has allocated RM1.47 billion, benefiting 1.8 million Pahang residents across various educational, scholarship, loan, religious, community and sports programmes," it said in a statement.

The Life At Work Awards programme is an initiative by TalentCorp in cooperation with the Human Resources Ministry to assist employers in preparing for future jobs.

The award celebrates employers with outstanding workplace diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) practices in Malaysia.

Over time, these awards have evolved from three categories to eight, with different recognitions and honours presented to local and international organisations, small and medium-sized enterprises, sole proprietorship and the public sector.

This year's LAWA programme saw the participation of 112 organisations and companies from both within and outside Malaysia.
