Arab diplomats in KL renew solidarity with Palestinians, thank Malaysia for Its support

KUALA LUMPUR: The Council of Arab Ambassadors in Kuala Lumpur, renewed its solidarity with the Palestinian people during its meeting today (November 6) and thanked the Malaysian government for its position in support of the Palestinian cause.

The council said in a statement shared by the Yemeni embassy following the meeting that they called for a permanent ceasefire, to create safe humanitarian corridors, and to put a stop to attacks and violations by settlers against Palestinian citizens.

The council also pointed towards the necessity of making rapid, real and collective efforts to resolve the conflict and implement the two-state solution on the basis of the relevant United Nations (UN) resolutions, in a way that guarantees the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the pre-June 4, 1967 lines, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.

The Council also highly appreciated the Malaysian position in support of the Palestinian cause at all official and popular levels, and the great sympathy and support that Malaysia has shown in the relief and humanitarian field by providing material and in-kind assistance to the people of the Gaza Strip.

The statement said the Council of Arab Ambassadors in Kuala Lumpur was also briefed by Palestine's ambassador to Malaysia, Walid Abu Ali, on the security and humanitarian developments in the Gaza Strip and the rest of the Palestinian areas exposed to the worst forms of extermination and genocide launched by the brutal Zionist regime.

The death toll in Gaza has risen to 9,770 yesterday (November 5), with at least another 2,000 people unaccounted for and feared buried in the rubble of destroyed homes and buildings due to the relentless airstrikes by Israel since the conflict began on October 7. – Bernama
