China Jiangsu Culture Trade Expo successfully held in Kuala Lumpur

KUALA LUMPUR: Over 100 exhibitors representing textiles, ceramics and food sectors participated in the 2023 China Jiangsu Culture Trade Expo, which was held from November 17 (Friday) to November 19 (yesterday).

The three-day expo hosted six major exhibition subjects: cultural specialities in east China's Jiangsu Province, digital service, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), gastronomy and tourism, international education and intellectual property services.

According to Jiang Xin, deputy director of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce, Malaysia is one of the closest partners for Jiangsu in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. Friendly relations were established between Jiangsu and Melaka from as early as 2002. Until last year, Malaysia had invested in nearly 1,000 enterprises in Jiangsu, and Jiangsu had invested in 156 projects in Malaysia.

Jiang Xin, together with See Chee Kong, senior director of services sector development of the Investment, Trade and Industry Ministry, Sun Shuqiang, Minister Counsellor of Economic and Commercial Office of Chinese Embassy in Malaysia and Tan Sri Dato' Low Kian Chuan, president of The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia officiated the Expo last Friday (November 17).

The expo was hosted by the Department of Commerce of Jiangsu Province and co-organised by the Malaysia-China Business Council, Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce, China Entrepreneurs Association in Malaysia (PUCM) and Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association. – Bernama
