KUALA LUMPUR: The 2022 Auditor-General's Report revealed that the performance upgrading and redevelopment of dilapidated school buildings was low.
Auditor General Datuk Wan Suraya Wan Mohd Radzi said only 386 or 25.6 per cent of schools have implemented the project out of the 1,505 schools identified as having dilapidated buildings throughout Malaysia.
Of these 386 schools, only 123 or 31.9 per cent of the upgrading and development work has been completed for the period from 2019 to 2022.
