Orang Asli community's welfare remains a priority for Johor state government

ISKANDAR PUTERI: Approximately 45 Orang Asli Tok Batins attended the tabling of the Johor Budget 2024 at Bangunan Sultan Ismail in Kota Iskandar, near here, today.

State Agriculture, Agro-based Industry, and Rural Development Committee Chairman Datuk Zahari Sarip affirmed that the welfare of the Orang Asli community will consistently remain a priority for the state government, with a focus on their socio-economic development.

The government will collaborate with the Johor Department of Orang Asli Development (JAKOA) to ensure the community is not sidelined and will benefit from ongoing developmental initiatives.

"We will continue championing their welfare to prevent marginalisation, particularly in realizing Johor's aspirations as a progressive state by 2030," Zahari said
