KUALA LUMPUR: A video showing a woman wailing upon seeing her son's body, who was martyred in an Israeli attack in Gaza, Palestine, yesterday, has deeply moved many.
The woman was repeatedly beating her chest while apologising to her son. She embraced and kissed his lifeless body again and again.
"Forgive me if I ever spoke harshly to you, forgive me if I didn't get you something, or if I ever stopped you from doing something.
"Forgive me if I ever hit or disciplined you because I only wanted the best for you.
"Don't think I didn't love you; I swear I loved you so much," she said emotionally.
A man was seen trying to calm the mother and asking her to leave the boy, but she refused to move away from the body.
"Leave me with him, I want to accompany him until they (security forces) take him (for burial)," she said while crying.
The conflict, now entering its 57th day, has resulted in casualties of over 15,207, with more than 7,500 still trapped under rubble, and an additional 40,650 injured.
