One-and-a-half month bonus for Pahang civil servants - Wan Rosdy

KUANTAN: The Pahang government has announced a special cash aid of one and a half months' salary with a minimum of RM2,000 for state civil servants.

Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said the assistance is a form of appreciation from the state government to all the civil servants who continued to provide support in carrying out their duties.

"Professional attitude and respecting each other are the important elements in ensuring Pahang continues to develop and prosper.

"The Pahang government has agreed to provide special aid of one and a half months 'with a minimum of RM2,000' to all the civil servants. The payment will be credited in 2024 involving an allocation of RM39.6 million," he said when tabling the Pahang Budget 2024 at Wisma Sri Pahang today.

Meanwhile, Wan Rosdy said the state government has introduced the Pahang 1stJob programme in a effort to provide a support system to help youths secure jobs.

"Unemployment is a serious matter and the Pahang government has provided a platform for the youths to obtain details about jobs through Pahang 1stJob. The platform will bring together all the companies with job vacancies.

"The programme will allow organisations or companies to provide the necessary support, guidance and opportunity to young graduates before they enter workplace. An allocation of RM1.5 million has been set aside for the programme," he said.

He said the state government has also allocated RM2.5 million to establish a database for job opportunities in Pahang or known as CariKerja@Pahang.

"The database will serve as a job-matching scheme with job opportunities. This will help match aspiring candidates and potential employers," he said.
