PENAMPANG: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim urged the people to avoid listening to politicians who came up with statements without facts.
"Issues on region, race and religion cause disunity among the people. Their version of 'unity' only serves to benefit those at their top level.
"(There are those who say that the) allocation for Sabah is less than that of Penang, which receives higher (allocation). Do not listen to these politicians' speeches as they are not based on facts. They give these statements to garner support.
"The allocation for development projects in 2024 is worth RM6.84 billion, and Penang will receive RM1.4 billion. How do they (the opposition) count? " he said during the 2023 national-level Hawkers and Petty Traders Carnival or HPPK 2023 at Buhavan Square here.
