Zayn Rayyan's mother shares emotional IG post: Till we meet again, abang'

PETALING JAYA: After several days of silence, the mother of the autistic child, Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin, 6, uploaded a photo of herself today along with a caption expressing profound longing for her eldest son.

Ismanira Abdul Manaf, 28, through a 'story' post on her Instagram, also apologised for staying silent to all her friends who knew her following the tragedy.

"Till we meet again, 'abang'. Wait for mommy, okay? Mommy misses hugging, kissing, and playing with you so much. You will always be mommy's eldest, irreplaceable. Forgive me if there were shortcomings during the time I raised you," she wrote in the caption alongside a picture of her with a child believed to be Zayn Rayyan.

Ismanira also explained that she has not been able to respond to messages and calls as both her phone and her husband, Zaim Ikhwan Zahari's, 28, are still in police possession.

"Peace be upon you all. I apologise for not being able to reply to WhatsApp messages, DMs (direct messages), or calls for now. My phone and my husband's are still with the police to assist in the investigation," she said.

Through the same post, Ismanira also expressed gratitude to everyone who prayed for her.

"I apologise. I'm not ignoring anyone. I'm using someone else's phone to log in to Instagram. Thank you to everyone who prayed for me. I ask everyone to pray for me to be given strength; I am still emotionally unstable. This is the most challenging test of my life. O Allah, give me strength," she wrote.

Earlier, Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan, announced that Zayn Rayyan's death was classified as a homicide after a post-mortem revealed injuries on the child's neck and body.

Zayn Rayyan's body was found in a river about 200m from his home at Apartment Idaman, Damansara Damai, around 10pm last Wednesday.
