ALOR SETAR: A young child who was suffering from a few ailments including alobar holoprosencephaly died at 4.50am this morning.
Mohammad Bilal Yusra Mohammad Azhar, 3, died as his parents were tending to him at their family home in Kampung Sungai Ular in Kulim.
Bilal's mother, Nurul Izzati Adawiyah Mohd Zaidi, 26, said that she accepts his passing even though it is painful to bear. Bilal also suffered from heart ailment apart from not being able to see from birth.
"Even though we are very sad, we have to accept his passing. A few days before this, Bilal looked ok but he was twitching quite frequently.
"He died while my husband and I were tending to him," she said when contacted here today.
Nurul Izzati Adawiyah said that their young son's remains were laid to rest after Friday prayers at the Kampung Sungai Ular Islamic burial grounds.
Before this it was reported that Bilal's ailment was getting worse and deteriorating apart from his head getting bigger and bigger reaching a weight of 28 kilogrammes (kg).
Bilal required constant round the clock care which led to both his parents, father Mohammad Azhar Arzemi, 31 and Nurul Izzati being unable to work despite already enduring financial difficulties.
Another child of theirs, Nur Khaulah Al-Azwar, 6, has trouble hearing and backbone problems.
