LIPIS: An Orang Asli teenager died and his sibling was critically injured when their motorcycle collided with a car at Km30 of Jalan Lipis-Sungai Koyan in Kampung Sungai Ular here on Friday.
Norsarizad Nordin, 19, a fruit picker from RPS Betau, died at the scene. Norzarisal Nordin, 20, who was riding pillion, sustained chest and head injuries.
Lipis district police chief Superintendent Azli Mohd Noor said the incident occurred at 9.30pm.
"Preliminary investigations showed that the motorcyclist lost control of his machine and collided with a Perodua Kancil coming from Sungai Koyan."
Azli said the driver of the Kancil did not manage to brake in time.
The impact of the collision caused the motorcycle to be dragged for a distance.
Norzarisal was sent to Kuala Lipis Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Kancil escaped unhurt.
