Jamal Yunos hospitalised again for lung cancer

KUALA LUMPUR: Sungai Besar Umno division chief Datuk Seri Jamal Md Yunos has once again been rushed to hospital for treatment due to lung cancer.

Jamal has reportedly been experiencing chest pain and shortness of breath for several weeks before being admitted to the Prince Court Medical Centre since last Tuesday.

Describing this battle as a defeat, Jamal said that he could no longer afford the expensive treatment and medication needed, which cost tens of thousands of ringgit.

"I need to receive intensive treatment from doctors at the hospital. Due to the high dosage of medication, every time I take it, my head spins and floats, making it difficult to carry out daily tasks as usual.

"It's better for doctors and nurses to monitor my condition more closely because the chest pain has worsened lately," he said when contacted yesterday.

In December last year, the media reported that the Selangor Barisan Nasional (BN) communication chief was admitted to the Prince Court Medical Centre for stage four lung cancer-related treatment.

Previously, Jamal's health condition was reported to have deteriorated since Sept 17, 2022, due to an overwhelming workload, attending nearly 20 programmes within a span of two days.

Due to his declining health, Jamal also apologised to all those who know him for any inconveniences and mistakes that arose during their dealings with him, both in politics and business.
