Johor launches 'Integrity First' programme to combat corruption

JOHOR BARU: The Johor state government, through the integrity unit of the State Secretary's Office, has launched the 15-minute 'Integrity First' programme aimed at instilling the value of integrity among civil servants.

This programme involves 99 departments from the state government, federal government, local authorities, and statutory bodies across Johor.

Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP) said the initiative underscores the government's commitment to ensuring that all members of the Johor State public service operate transparently and free from corrupt practices.

"During the programme, employees from each participating department received a brief briefing on integrity awareness.

"This session was followed by the collective reading of the Anti-Corruption Pledge, symbolising a unified stand against corruption and a commitment to maintaining ethical standards in public service," MBIP wrote on Facebook.

The 'Integrity First' programme is part of a broader effort by the Johor state government to foster a transparent and corruption-free environment within its public services.

By engaging various departments and agencies, it said the initiative aims to reinforce the importance of integrity in every aspect of government operations.
