Ahmad Samsuri: 'I hope the culprits go to hell and rot in jail'

KUALA TERENGGANU: Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar denied being involved with any investment scheme on social media.

He said his picture was misused by those who are unscrupulous and irresponsible to promote and advertise purported investment activities using the account 'The Secret Quran'.

He said such unscrupulous and irresponsible people created a TikTok account, named 'drahmedsamsurimokhtar' using pictures and a name that mirrored his.

"My picture was used by them. I strongly deny any involvement with any side or party regarding such a service or account.

"I also deny that the TikTok account drahmedsamsurimokhtar is my account," he said when contacted earlier today (Jan 23).

Samsuri, who is the Kemaman member of parliament, refused to entertain the matter and said he wished to only focus on his job.

"I cannot divert my focus to combat scammers like this. Today, we responded to the matter to say that this account associated to me is fake. Next week, it could be something else, and the week after and so on, so forth.

"What I can do on my part is to pray that these irresponsible people doing these things will go to hell. If the authorities apprehend them, let the courts duly punish them, and let them rot in jail," he said.
