PETALING JAYA: Bandar Kuching member of parliament Dr Kelvin Yii has been appointed as the political secretary to the Human Resources Minister, Steven Sim.
Sim shared the news today on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), saying that Yii is a dynamic young leader driven by a strong commitment to public service.
Yii who was appointed to the position last April previously served as special adviser to the then Health Minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa
Yii, in an X posting, said: "Thank you for the opportunity and trust given. I will give my best for the ministry and the country."
A trained medical doctor, Yii officially received his appointment letter from Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim earlier today.
