KUANTAN: Clear skies greeted Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah as the royal couple arrived at the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) base here today.
The special aircraft carrying Their Majesties' and the royal entourage landed at 11.55am.
Al-Sultan Abdullah, who is the Sultan of Pahang, officially ends his five-year reign as the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong today after taking the oath of office on Jan 31, 2019.
Pahang Regent Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, Menteri Besar Datuk Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail and other senior state government officials received the royal couple at the air base.
Al-Sultan Abdullah will inspect the guard of honour here before the royal couple departs for an official reception at the Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Silver Jubilee Hall near here.
