KOTA BARU: The number of flood victims in the state continues to decline with 1,365 people remaining this morning, compared to 1,732 yesterday evening.
All the victims, involving 422 families, are currently taking shelter at 11 temporary evacuation centres.
According to the Social Welfare Department's Disaster Info portal, only three districts still have evacuation centres open, namely Pasir Mas, Kuala Krai, and Tumpat.
Tumpat recorded a total of 1,015 victims, followed by Pasir Mas with 334 victims, and Kuala Krai with 16 victims.
Meanwhile, Jeli, which was affected by floods again yesterday, has fully recovered, and all five evacuation centres in the district have been closed.
