ALOR STAR: Kedah state government today approved a public holiday for the Thaipusam celebration in 2024 which falls on Jan 25.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor said the matter was approved during the state executive council meeting today.
"The state executive council meeting today approved an occasional public holiday on Jan 25 in conjunction with Thaipusam.
"This is a continuity of the public holiday for Thaipusam approved by the state government in the previous years," he said in a Press conference after chairing the state executive council meeting at Wisma Darul Aman here today.
