Fahmi leads MCMC's voice call quality test from Parliament to Putrajaya

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) conducted a voice call quality test today along the route from Parliament building to the Communication Ministry in Putrajaya.

The test took place along the Maju Expressway (MEX) route and lasted approximately 45 minutes.

A group of 40 media practitioners were transported by bus to the ministry in Putrajaya to witness the test.

The convoy, led by Communication Minister Ahmad Fahmi Fadzil and Deputy Minister Teo Nie Ching, started from Parliament around 2.45pm.

Fahmi said the test aimed to assess the quality of cellular network services, particularly addressing the issue of dropped calls.

"Trained MCMC officers carried out the test using specialised Nemo Walker Air testing equipment.

"The test included all major mobile service providers, utilising two sets of Nemo Walker Air for repetitive and continuous call tests," he said during a briefing, in Parliament, here, today.

Fahmi said the test results will be analysed upon arrival at the ministry's office.
