Grab Malaysia expands #SavewithGrab, offers affordable services

GRAB Malaysia has expanded its #SavewithGrab initiative — introduced last year — to make its on-demand services more affordable for budget-conscious consumers.

Malaysia's inflation rate is forecasted to range between 2.1 per cent and 3.6 per cent this year, according to the Finance Ministry's Economic Outlook 2024, signalling the need for practical and accessible everyday solutions.

Grab Malaysia head of marketing Hassan Alsagoff said: "Our intention is to serve all Malaysians in every way they need, and these enhancements help us in achieving that by making our platform more accessible to a wider segment of consumers.

"New updates such as GrabUnlimited Long Term Plans and Stamp Cards don't just help us stay relevant in the minds of budget-conscious consumers, but also open up more savings opportunities for all our consumers while potentially boosting earnings for driver-, delivery-, and merchant-partners too."

MAKING DELIVERIES ACCESSIBLE

The #SavewithGrab initiative offers cheaper delivery options on GrabFood, enhanced group order features, affordable subscription plans and a newly introduced partner loyalty programme.

  • GrabFood is bringing back fan-favourite promotions like 'Kombo Jimat' and 'Pakej RAHMAH', in addition to staples like HOTDEALS and HUNGRYDEALS.
  • Malaysians can subscribe to GrabUnlimited's long-term subscription plans — now offered in periods of six and 12 months — from RM3.99 a month.
  • GrabFood has also introduced Stamp Cards, a new partner loyalty programme. Consumers can earn stamps for their favourite restaurants, both on GrabFood and in-store orders. Participating merchant-partners include Baskin Robbins, Thai Moment, Kyochon, Lim Fried Chicken (LFC), Salad Atelier and more.

SAVINGS ACROSS THE BOARD

Grab Malaysia is also emphasising its focus on affordability by expanding #SavewithGrab to its e-hailing and financial sector.

Passengers can now save up to 20 per cent on fares with GrabCar Saver, available in selected cities and at specific times.

GXBank's GX Card — currently rolling out in phases — offers various rewards and savings, including unlimited one per cent cashback for every online and offline transaction and 1.5 per cent GrabRewards points when used in Jaya Grocer.

Users who open a GX savings account will also be able to save and enjoy three per cent per annum daily interest.

For a limited time, users can also get additional cashback and a free six-month GrabUnlimited membership in instant cashback.

"Ultimately, our end goal remains the same – to be the most accessible on-demand platform for everyday services for every Malaysian.

"And ensuring we have affordable options and additional opportunities to save is just one of the ways we can support Malaysians," concluded Alsagoff.
