Longest line of vehicles with 'state flag' enters record book

PUTRAJAYA: The Federal Territories Department made its way to the Malaysia Book of Records for organising the longest line of vehicles in the centre of Putrajaya today.

The department achieved the 'longest vehicles line with state flag' award, after 644 vehicles were parked in a straight line across Precints 2, 3 and 4 with a total distance of 3.35km.

A variety of vehicles, including those belonging to government agencies, private companies and other private-owned vehicles, participated in the event today.

Among them included motorcycles, sedans, supercars, limousines, motorhomes, lorries and buses, all displaying the Federal Territory flag, lining up from the Finance Ministry Complex to Lingkaran Gemilang.

The award was presented to Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territories) Dr Zaliha Mustafa, by Malaysia Book of Records official, Siti Hajar Johor.

The event was held for the 50th anniversary of the formation of the Federal Territories.

Putrajaya Corporation president Datuk Fadlun Mak Ujud said the event fostered a sense of belonging among citizens and promoted unity.

"The people's harmony and strong spirit of togetherness will drive the development of the Federal Territories and create an advanced and competitive Malaysian society."
