Kapar Air Crash: 45pc of doomed plane buried underground

KUALA LUMPUR: The police said that 45 per cent of the light aircraft which crashed at an oil palm plantation in Kapar was submerged in the ground.

Selangor Police Chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan, in a statement today, also confirmed that two local men onboard the plane had died at the scene.

At the crash site, Hussein said the process of retrieving the bodies was ongoing as the aircraft's body was buried two metres deep underground.

The New Straits Times was also informed that the retrieval process might take three hours, and that the bodies will be transferred to Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital.

Earlier, it was reported that [olice have confirmed that two people on board a light aircraft that crashed near Kampung Tok Muda, Kapar today, were killed.
