KUALA LUMPUR: All civil servants in Grade 56 and below, including contract appointments, will receive the early incentive payment amounting to RM2,000 tomorrow.
The announcement was previously made by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at the Finance Ministry's monthly gathering in Putrajaya on Feb 6.
"Also to be disbursed is RM1,000 to all key public sector positions involving the police, Fire and Rescue Services Department, army, armed forces and all uniformed bodies.
"The RM1,000 incentive payment will also be channeled to all government retirees including pensionable and non-pensionable veterans," he said at the event.
Anwar said the early incentive payment will be disbursed in one go to ease the burden of parents preparing their children for the school term, as well as for Ramadan and Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
During the tabling of the 2024 Budget last year, the government had agreed to distribute the early incentive payment amounting to RM2,000, to all civil servants in Grades 56 and below, including those on contract.
