Unifi Mobile was named the winner in 5G download speeds globally for 2023 according to Opensignal, a global provider of independent insights and data integrating network experience and market performance across converged, wireless and broadband operators.
Unifi Mobile was also voted winner for the best video experience in Malaysia for 2023 by Ookla.
In the 5G Global Mobile Network Experience Awards 2023, Unifi was crowned among this year's Kings of Speed.
Opensignal found that Sweden's Telenor and Unifi users experienced the fastest average 5G download speeds — making the two operators 5G Global Winners.
When it comes to video experience, Unifi Mobile promises the most consistent experience for users, having won the Consistent Quality award with a score of 67.2 per cent.
Unifi Mobile also added Live Video Experience to its awards haul, winning it with a score of 54.7 points on a 100-point scale.
This means Unifi placed in the Very Good (53-58) category for Live Video Experience, the only Malaysian operator to do so this time around.
Lee said Unifi Mobile's new plans make 5G technology even more accessible for everyday Malaysians, with a renewed focus on connectivity for the whole family.

For those with larger families, Unifi also offers UNI5G Postpaid Family plans with two and three free Supplementary Lines priced at RM159 and RM189 respectively, making 5G access more affordable for the whole family, regardless of size, through a single mobile plan.
Existing Unifi fixed broadband customers purchasing the new UNI5G Postpaid Family plans will also enjoy the same offer.
Three new Mobile Postpaid plans for individual users have also been unveiled.
This includes UNI5G Postpaid 99 which comes with unlimited 5G + 4G data during this promotion period, and a free 5G smartphone; while UNI5G Postpaid 69 comes with unlimited 5G data during this promotion period, and discounts on a selection of 5G smartphones.

According to Speedtest by Ookla, among the top fixed broadband providers in Malaysia in the fourth quarter of last year, Unifi delivered the fastest median download speed at 112.00 Mbps.
