One dead, 3 hurt in Lahad Datu crash

LAHAD DATU: A man died while three others, including two children, were injured in an accident involving two four-wheeled vehicles on Jalan Dewata, Batu 21, here, today.

Sabah Fire and Rescue Department operation centre assistant chief Riki Mohan Singh Ramday said a team from the Lahad Datu Fire and Rescue station was dispatched to the scene upon receiving a call at 12.53pm.

"The accident involved two four-wheeled vehicles, (both) Toyota Hilux.

The first vehicle was occupied by four individuals, all of whom did not sustain any injuries.

"Meanwhile, in the second Toyota Hilux, there were four victims, and one was confirmed dead while three, including children, were injured," he said when contacted today.

He added that all injured victims were transported to Lahad Datu Hospital.
