IPOH: The Perak government today announced a special financial aid for Hari Raya (BKK Raya) worth RM1,000 for all state government civil servants.
Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad also announced the same aid for all 995 village chiefs in the state.
At the Menteri Besar breaking fast event with civil servants here tonight, Saarani said the BKK Raya aid would also be given to state appointed teachers, Orang Besar Jajahan (territorial chiefs) and daily part time workers.
The event was held at Laman Seri Ridzuan. Also present were state secretary Datuk Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim; state executive councillors, and state department heads.
He said the BKK Raya would involve a cost of RM8.8 million and benefit 8,804 recipients.
It is understood that the aid or bonus that is being given was part of the appreciation to the state public service for their commitment and dedication, apart from providing financial aid before the Aidilfitri celebrations.
Last year, the Perak state government announced a BKK Raya aid of RM700 to the civil servants, and RM500 for all former state assemblymen.
