KOTA KINABALU: To help alleviate the burdens faced by the residents of the city, Kota Kinabalu Mayor Datuk Seri Dr Sabin Samitah has announced the extension of the validity period for parking coupons that expired last year, Sabah Media reported.
These coupons will now remain valid until June 30, allowing residents to continue utilising their existing coupons without the immediate need for renewal.
This move, aimed at reducing the stress on parking space users under the jurisdiction of the Kota Kinabalu City Hall (DBKK), reflects the local government's commitment to addressing the practical day-to-day concerns of its citizens.
Vehicle owners are advised to ensure the correct display of daily or monthly coupons, aligning with the stipulated guidelines to avoid unnecessary penalties.
