Palestinian Ambassador: Israel's propaganda losing ground, no more hiding settler aggression [NSTTV]

KUALA LUMPUR: Israel's propaganda is losing its grip as public opinion in many capitals shifts, making it challenging for Benjamin Netanyahu's administration to hide the truth.

Palestinian ambassador to Malaysia Walid Abu Ali said global protests and social media have reshaped public opinion surrounding the Israel-Palestine conflict,

He said the attacks on Al-Shifa hospital, sacred sites such as Al-Aqsa and Al-Quds and settler incursions into Palestinian territories have awakened the globe.

On the Palestinian Authority's (PA) efforts in diplomatic arenas since Israel's ground offensive into Gaza on October 27, Walid said the leadership went on a relentless pursuit to inform the international community from day one.

"Ramallah tried its maximum to stop this crazy war against our people in Gaza but there are limitations," he said in an interview on NST's Beyond the Headlines.

"The reality is that all Palestinians regardless if you are in Gaza or you are in the West bank, with or against the PA, we are all under the Israeli occupation," he added.

The push for justice, said Walid, remained consistent through diplomatic channels, including various engagements with the Hague, United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), Arab League, and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

"Unfortunately, the Israeli government believes that they are immune with the support they are getting from the United States (US) and other alliances around the globe," he said.

Walid urged for wider support from both the Muslim community and the broader society to tackle the long-standing struggles faced by the Palestinian people.

"There are some governments, some regimes who are still under the influence of the Israeli lobbies around the globe, pressured and manipulated by the Israelis, the Israeli government and Zionists."
