Heavy traffic congestion reported on Federal Highway after collision involving over 10 cars

KUALA LUMPUR: A traffic accident involving over 10 cars and a garbage disposal truck occurred on the Federal Highway this afternoon.

According to a post shared by Astro Radio Traffic account on X (formerly known as Twitter), the incident took place near i-City, resulting in heavy traffic congestion from UiTM Shah Alam towards Klang.

The video on the post showed the aftermath of the collision, with a significant amount of debris strewn across the road.

However, there is currently no information available regarding any injuries sustained in the accident.

The collision has triggered congestion on the highway.

Over two million vehicles are expected to be on major highways during the Hari Raya holidays.

The Works Ministry said the projected traffic figure represents a 15 per cent increase compared with the usual 1.82 million daily traffic volumes.

The ministry said the projected increase in vehicle traffic would be high on peak days, specifically on April 5, 6, 9, 12, 13 and 14.
