KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah State Government's annual Hari Raya Open House drew more than 20,000 guests at the International Convention Centre Sabah (SICC) on April 14, Sabah First Info reported.
The event was graced by the presence of the Head of State Tun Juhar Mahiruddin and his wife, Toh Puan Norlidah Tan Sri Datuk RM Jasni.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, accompanied by his wife, Datin Seri Juliah Salag, arrived in the morning and participated in the festivities by distributing 'duit raya' to 100 underprivileged individuals.
Deputy Chief Minister and Chairman of the State Hari Raya Open House Main Committee, Datuk Ir Shahelmey Yahya, along with other state ministers, joined the Chief Minister in mingling and engaging with people from various communities who attended the event.
Guests were entertained with festive Hari Raya songs performed by local Sabah artists, adding to the celebratory mood of the gathering.
