Sanusi denies polygamous marriage rumours, keeps door open to fate

SIK: Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor has denied rumours claiming that he has entered into a polygamous marriage with a second wife.

Sanusi said that he had not yet decided to take on another.

"(I have) not yet (entered another marriage)," he told reporters during a press conference today.

However, Sanusi expressed openness to considering another marriage.

"Who knows if there's 'jodoh' (fate)? If it's destined with someone from Sik or Alor Star, what's wrong with that?" he said jokingly.

Sanusi is legally wedded to Jusmalailani Jusoh, and they have five children, namely Nur Fatihah, Muhammad Umar Zuhdi, Nur Asma', Nur Hana and Sofea Humaira.

Rumours about Sanusi tying the knot again emerged on social media following a Facebook post informing the public that he was in Pahang on the third day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

Netizens quickly assumed that Sanusi was celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri at his alleged "new in-laws" house in Pahang.

Others claimed rumours of Sanusi tying the knot through "nikah mut'ah" (wedlease) with a foreign woman.
