Flight operations resume: Wisma Putra cautions Malaysians in Middle East to stay alert

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysians in Iran, Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon have been urged to remain vigilant and adhere to instructions from the local authorities in these countries, says Wisma Putra.

This, following the reopening of airspace and resumption of flight operations in the respective countries.

According to a statement issued today, Wisma Putra anticipates flight delays as operations progressively resume and adjust to the new rules.

"Malaysian travellers are advised to stay informed about any potential disruptions and plan their journeys accordingly."

The said countries have reopened their airspaces after closing them over Iran's missile and drone attacks on Israel.

On Saturday (April 13), Iran launched drones and missiles towards military sites on Israeli territory in response to an April 1 attack by Israel on its consulate in Damascus, Syria, which killed 13 people.
