Sabah FC to play in Keningau as part of regional tour

KENINGAU: Football enthusiasts in Sabah will have the chance to watch Sabah FC, affectionately known as Sang Badak, in action at the Keningau Sports Complex on April 23, Sabah First Info reported.

Team manager Rafie Robert revealed that this match is part of a regional tour that includes stops in Keningau, Tawau, and Sandakan starting this Sunday.

The tour kicks off in Keningau with a friendly match against the Keningau FA team at 7pm, and will provide a golden opportunity for the fans and supporters of Sabah FC to see their favourite team play in their own region.

Rafie, who is also the President of the Keningau FA, expressed excitement about the upcoming friendly match and hopes that under the guidance of coach Well Apin, the Keningau FA players will deliver their best performance.

"This tour is a tribute to all supporters across the state, and it serves as a motivation for Sabah FC to perform better and with more spirit in upcoming league matches," Rafie said.

He added that under the leadership of head coach Datuk Ong Kim Swee, Sabah FC is poised to exhibit top performance in the upcoming league matches and compete for the championship title this season.
