PM starts working day in Sabah with PKR meeting [Updated]

KOTA KINABALU: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim kicked off his work visit to Sabah with a meeting with state PKR leaders at a hotel here.

Anwar, who is also PKR president, is expected to discuss the leadership turmoil in Sabah PKR.

Last month, 15 out of 26 division chiefs demanded incumbent Sabah PKR chief Datuk Sangkar Rasam step down from his post.

After the party meeting, Anwar is expected to meet Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor at Menara Kinabalu.

He is also expected to pay his last respects to late PBRS founder Tan Sri Joseph Kurup at Fook Lu Siew.

At noon, Anwar is expected to head to the Sabah International Convention Centre for the state's Aidilfitri celebrations.
