Sultan Ibrahim attends Unity Ministry open house

PUTRAJAYA: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, graced the Unity Ministry's Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house here, today.

Sultan Ibrahim, clad in a navy-coloured shirt, spent around 40 minutes at the event.

With the theme "Perpaduan Melalui Perayaan" (unity through celebrations) the open house was a platform for the ministry, departments and agencies to gather in the spirit of harmony.

Also present at the event were Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang as the host, as well as other cabinet ministers and senior government officials.

Others present were Finance Minister II Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan, Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil, Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo, Transport Minister Anthony Loke, Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming, Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali, and Public Service Department (PSD) director-general Datuk Seri Wan Ahmad Dahlan Abdul Aziz.

Meanwhile, the Unity Ministry in a statement said His Majesty also shared hopes for the government in fostering unity among Malaysians as the basis of stability and sustainable development of the country.

Aaron said the King's presence at the open house was a sign of support towards his ministry's efforts in strengthening unity in the country.
