PUTRAJAYA: Unity government spokesman Fahmi Fadzil has asked the public to wait for the announcement of its candidate tonight in light of the various speculations for the Kuala Kubu Baharu (KKB) seat.
"As long as it's not yet announced, there is none (candidate). But we wait.
"We'll announce the candidate around 10pm tonight officially," he said at a press conference here today.
Earlier today, the press secretary to Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming was tipped to defend the Kuala Kubu Baharu state seat for DAP.
According to a source, Pang Sock Tao is expected to be officially named as the unity government's candidate for the May 11 by-election.
According to reports, the decision to field Pang, 31, who previously served as a news presenter for DAP's UbahTV, was finalised last week.
