KEDAH: The forthcoming Sukma and Para Sukma games in Sarawak 2024 has garnered substantial encouragement from the Kedah authorities, with the Sarawak delegation's mission to organise the events progressing positively, the Sarawak Public Communications Unit reported.
Sarawak Youth, Sports, and Entrepreneur Development Deputy Minister Datuk Gerald Rentap Jabu highlighted the enthusiastic response received during their visits, including discussions on the complexities and plans for the games set for August.
After meeting Kedah's Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor, Gerald Rentap relayed the positive outlook from state officials and the readiness for the sports celebration slated from Aug 17 to 24.
The commitment from Kedah comes after similar assurances from Penang and Perlis, indicating strong nationwide unity and support for the event to be held in Sarawak this year.
