Mydin launches 'Kasih Sayang Ibu dan Si Manja' campaign 2024

KUALA LUMPUR: Mydin Mohamed Holdings Bhd (Mydin) has launched its "Kasih Sayang Ibu dan Si Manja 2024" campaign under the government's Programme Jualan Ihsan Rahmah (PJIR) initiative.

Mydin managing director Datuk Dr Ameer Ali Mydin said the campaign aimed to provide parents with baby and children products at discounted prices.

"We offer discounts on formula milk, disposable diapers, clothing and much more to alleviate the rising cost of living for parents, especially those in the low-income group.

"This campaign, which starts today until May 30, will give special discounts and prizes for parents and caregivers," he said at the launching at Mydin USJ in Petaling Jaya.

He said in addition to savings and discounts on essential items, this campaign also offered rebates and extra packages totalling up to RM800,000.

Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali hoped that this campaign could help boost the retail industry by encouraging other companies to collaborate in managing the people's cost of living.

The minister said since the PJIR began on Jan 23, a total of 40 companies in the retail industry had implemented the initiative in 2,770 locations nationwide.

"I would like to express gratitude to Mydin and other strategic partners for their commitment in reducing the cost of living and helping the government boost the retail industry.

"We aim to involve and encourage more industries other than retail in addressing the people's high cost of living.

"The synergy between the government and the retail industry will benefit the country and increase contributions to the people," he said.

In January, The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry aimed to focus on elevating the Rahmah initiatives in 2024 through collaborative efforts with private industries under the Payung Rahmah agenda.
