Take advantage of programme to ease burden of rising costs, Sarawak minister tells Siburan communities

SIBURAN: The Jualan Rahmah Bergerak programme has been launched as an initiative to alleviate the financial burden on the public due to rising commodity prices, focusing particularly on rural communities, the Sarawak Public Communications Unit reported.

Sarawak Education, Innovation, and Talent Development Minister Datuk Seri Roland Sagah Wee Inn encouraged the rural populace to take advantage of this programme, which was held in Kampung Patung.

The programme not only supports locals in selling everyday items such as fresh ingredients, food products, and handicrafts but also enhances their economic sources.

"This initiative boosts the local economy by enabling residents who engage in farming and trading within their village to expand their market reach beyond the local to urban centres," he said during the inauguration ceremony on Sunday.

The minister expressed his gratitude to the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry for executing such initiatives, which have been conducted six times in the Tarat area.
