Media Prima employees to leave for haj pilgrimage

KUALA LUMPUR: Media Prima Berhad (MPB) organised a Yasin recitation and prayer ceremony for its staff members who will be performing the haj pilgrimage

The event, held at the Balai Berita mosque here today, was attended by approximately 80 employees from various units, departments, and subsidiaries of MPB including The New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd (NSTP), Berita Harian (BH), and Harian Metro (HM).

The ceremony was led by MPB's Senior Employee Relations Manager, Fauzi Hashim.

This year, nine MPB employees were selected to perform the haj.

Among them are two Berita Harian Editors, Sariha Mohd Ali, and Amirullah Andi Nur, as well as Berita Harian Assistant Editor, Ahmad Feisal Othman, in addition to Zamri Mahmud (Harian Metro) and Nurul Ain Jasni (MPB).

Also included are Wan Nadirah Ibrahim, Muhammad Hafizan Mohd Ani, and Sumirah Mohamed Sabar (Sistem Televisyen Malaysia Bhd (STMB)), as well as Asturiyanti Zuhrufadila (MPB).

Fauzi also prayed for all pilgrims to have a blessed haj and for all their affairs to be facilitated throughout their stay in the holy land.

The first haj pilgrims from among MPB staff, Sariha, and Amirullah, are scheduled to depart early Tuesday morning via flight KT16 from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

In addition to Balai Berita, a similar ceremony will also be held at the Sri Pentas prayer hall on coming Tuesday.
