85-year-old man missing in Sri Petaling

KUALA LUMPUR: An 85-year-old man has reportedly gone missing after driving alone yesterday evening in Sri Petaling.

Lem Tek Lai was last seen when left home to go to work at his office in Salak South Garden at around 3pm.

His daughter Lem Yee Siew told the New Straits Times said this was the second time a month that her father went missing and they worried about him as he was aged 85.

"My father was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and white shorts," she said.

She added that so far, there have been no updates on her father, and the family is searching for him.

The family also went to a nearby police station to notify the authorities. A police report will be lodged soon after the 24-hour period lapses.

Last month, the father had also gone missing for a few hours after he went to repair his car in Cheras, Yee Siew said.

"After a few hours, members of the public contacted us and we were able to find my father's whereabout," she told the NST.

Earlier, in a Facebook post on the Seri Petaling community page, details of the missing person were shared by a user named Mark Lem.

The missing man was last seen driving a Mercedes with a plate number WDY 8966.

Anyone with information on the missing person can contact Lem Yee Siew at 012-373 9360.
