Cameron Highlands hotel did not receive any complaint about guests' 'spooky' stay

KUANTAN: The hotel where a child allegedly experienced paranormal disturbances during a family's stay in Cameron Highlands claimed it did not receive any complaint on the incident.

The hotel management, in a statement, said it checked the guests' records and there were no complaints about such an incident at their premises.

"As such, it could not be verified whether such an incident actually happened or whether it took place at our hotel. We have received calls from the public asking if the news is true and if the hotel is haunted.

"Such unverified social media postings will definitely have an impact on our business," it said today.

Yesterday, a TikTok user, in a 7-second video, shared a picture of a child with bruises on the arm.

The caption read: "I was surprised that I saw bruises on his arm after the stay at the hotel. The maid had also told me that she heard footsteps about 3am, making her fearful of going back to sleep until morning."

Accompanying the video was a caption asking fellow netizens whether they had encountered similar spooky experience during their stay at the hotel.

In April, a TikTok user shared an 18-second video about her holiday experience at Fraser's Hill saying the accommodation at the hilltop station was a far cry from the description provided by the owner.

However, last month, Pahang Unity, Tourism and Culture Committee chairman Leong Yu Man dismissed the claims as untrue saying the building was not even open to travellers and it does not accept visitors.
