KUALA LUMPUR: A local toy maker has dedicated a customised toy slingshot to be auctioned off in support of the Palestinian cause.
Wan Kedah, the owner of Ayaq Mata Toy Company had shared on his Facebook page the unique toy slingshot complete with its special packaging.
Printed on the one-of-a-kind packaging, was a tagline: "Today, nearly everything is made in China, except for bravery - it is made in Palestine."
At the back of the packaging was the rationale behind the toy slingshot, which according to the description, signified resistance after the slingshot became popular during the 'First Intifada'.
Its designer, Wan Kedah said that he felt compelled to create the custom toy.
"(Whilst) creating this, it brought tears to my eyes.
"Never have I had teary eyes when designing toys before. Each of the toys I designed have its own backstory," he wrote.
He added that the toy would not be for sale but instead to be auctioned off to assist in the Palestinian cause.
